Nina Foust attended Appalachian State University on a basketball and golf scholarship. After graduating with a teaching degree, she was hired as the first female assistant golf pro at Gaston Country Club in Gastonia, NC. Under the watchful eye of Bruce Sudderth, Nina honed her game and played mini-tour events in preparation for the LPGA tour. In 1985, Nina earned her LPGA tour card and left on a journey around the US, Canada, and Japan. After 12 full years on tour, Nina began to slow down her schedule to rest an ailing back and spend more time teaching golf in Morehead City, her new found home on the Crystal Coast.
Foust opened The Golf Farm in June 2002 with the help and support of some close friends. Her reputation has grown as a result of her favorite advertising scheme, "word of mouth" and she stays busy teaching year round.
